Novopolotsk - Belarus
NOVOPOLOTSK (Belarusian: Нaвaполaцк) -100-thousand town in the northern part of Belarus, over the Daugava River, in the Vitebsk Province, west of Polock. One of the largest cities in Belarus, founded in 1958 around the petrochemical plant.
These days, Novopolotsk is primarily inhabited by the incoming multicultural people. After the construction of a petroleum refinery, it became a rapidly developing industrial center. Main industries include: chemical, automotive, and construction materials.
The partnership agreement was signed on May 29th, 1996.
