Płock – on top for centuries
Płock is not only a phenomenal location on a high slope at the Vistula River, pictured for centuries by masters of painting and of photography. Its magic is also in its special charm, created by the combination of history and modernity. The Cathedral, treasury in the Diocesian Museum, Art Nouveau in the Mazovian Museum, the oldest school in Poland - "Małachowianka" or the Divine Mercy Sanctuary are only a fraction of places that you have to see in Płock. It is worth coming here with the entire family because children will also find here plenty of attractions. The biggest one is the zoo where over 3,5 thousand animals live. In the summer season, we can get to the zoo by the Tumska Ciuchcia (Steam-engine train). The calendar full of summer events is one more reason to visit Płock. On a summer evening the beach, the amphitheatre and the Old Market Square are filled with music. Young people are attracted by Audioriver - the largest festival of electronic music in Poland. Entire families participate in Dni Historii Płocka (Płock History Days), Jarmark Tumski (Tumski Fair) and Piknik Lotniczy (Air Show). A constant group of supporters comes to the Letni Festiwal Muzyczny and its opening Rock Night of the Orchestra and the Rynek Sztuki (Art Market), combining street performances with jazz and "open air" cinema. Płock is a summer full of excitement. You are welcome!
